TV-List — Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how the TV-List mobile app (package studio.robu.tvlist) collects, uses and protects your personal data. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Data we collect

• Account: The email address, name and profile photo Google gives us when you sign in. We never see or store your password — Google handles authentication.
• Profile: Display name, username, bio, profile and cover photos, and any social media handles you add.
• App content: Your watchlists, watched episodes/movies, favorites, custom lists, ratings and reviews, notes, comments, posts and any photos you upload, likes, club memberships and messages, follows/followers, and messages you send to other users.
• Moderation: Users you block and reports you submit.

How we use data

• To create your account and sign you in;
• To provide core features such as tracking, lists, the calendar and statistics;
• To power social features such as following, comments, posts, clubs and messaging;
• To prevent abuse (blocking/reporting) and improve the app.

We do not sell your data to third parties for advertising.

Third-party services

• Supabase: Used for authentication, database and file (image) storage. Your data is stored on Supabase servers.
• TMDB (The Movie Database): Provides show and movie data. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. No personal data is shared with TMDB.
• YouTube: Trailers are played via embedded YouTube; YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
• Expo: Used for over-the-air app updates.

Photos

We ask for access to your device's photo library when you add a profile picture, a cover image or a post. Only the images you pick are uploaded. Post photos are kept in private storage and served to authorised viewers through short-lived links.

Notifications

With your permission, we schedule local notifications on your device for new episodes of shows you track. These are generated on the device; no additional data is sent to our servers for this.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account any time from within the app: Profile → Account → Delete my account. This permanently and irreversibly deletes your account and all associated data, including profile, lists, watch history, ratings, notes, comments, posts, photos, club memberships, messages and follows. See the account deletion page for a step-by-step guide and what to do if you can't open the app.

Retention: Deleting your account removes your data from the live system immediately. Copies held in backups cycle out within 30 days at the latest.

If you cannot access the app, email support@robu.studio to request deletion.

Getting a copy of your data

You can request a machine-readable copy of the data we hold about you. Email support@robu.studio from your account's Google address and we will respond within 30 days. This is currently handled by email rather than from inside the app.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to receive a copy in a portable format, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Turkish users additionally hold the rights set out in Article 11 of Law No. 6698 (KVKK). To exercise any of these, email us from your account's address; account deletion is also available at any time from Profile → Account → Delete my account.

Legal bases: We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the app you signed up for), to meet legal obligations (moderation and abuse records), and on the basis of legitimate interests (preventing abuse, improving the service).

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and protected by row-level security policies, so each user can access only their own data and content made visible to them.

Children's privacy

TV-List is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. If we learn we've collected data from a user under 13, we delete their account and data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be posted on this page.

TV-List — Terms of Use

By using TV-List you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for activity on your account.
• You can permanently delete your account any time from within the app (Profile → Account → Delete my account).

User content and zero tolerance

Comments, posts, photos, lists, club messages and profile details are your responsibility. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech or discrimination;
• Sexual content, nudity, or any material that exploits children;
• Violence, illegal activity, or encouragement of either;
• Spam, fraud, or impersonation;
• Copyright infringement or sharing others' content without permission;
• Links to pirated content.

Moderation

From inside the app you can block any user and report any user, comment or post. We review reports as quickly as we can, normally within 24 hours; where a rule has been broken we remove the content and suspend or terminate the account where warranted. That window may be longer during a backlog or a technical outage. These decisions are ours to make and require no prior notice.

Content data

Show and movie information comes from TMDB. TV-List is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. The app does not stream any content; it provides tracking and discovery tools only.

Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and we are not liable for damages arising from third-party content (TMDB data, user content, external links).
